I would like to extend a warm welcome to The Mount Junior, Infant and Nursery School. We are a 3-11 school with approximately 220 pupils, serving a fantastic community in the Thornes area of Wakefield.
At The Mount, we are committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive and safe environment for all, where diversity is celebrated. We are proud of the positive, purposeful and calm atmosphere in the school. Our ethos was recognised by OFSTED in their most recent visit:
‘This is a school built on positivity and strong relationships. Pupils show care and respect to others because adults model it to them. Pupils know they are cared for and that they can talk to adults if they need help or have any worries. They value the ethos and environment of the school. Calmness and kindness pervade the school.’ (OFSTED, Nov 2022)
I hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. If you require further information, or you would like paper copies of any of our website content, please contact the school directly.
Best wishes,
Kate Eastwood,
Headteacher
